Sajah is true to the Hindu faith. It is what he has known and believed for his entire life. He is a prince. Destined to be much, much more. He didn't expect the overwhelming feelings for Erica Tanner. Nor did he ever, ever imagine that what he has believed in for his entire life might be a lie. But there is a light and a peace inside of Erica that he cannot deny. Dare he believe that her God could actually be real?
Lights of the Veil is a little-known yet beautiful book. I have read it five or six times. It is a story of how the light of Christ can conquer spiritual darkness. The spiritual oppression in India is vividly described and revealed in Lights of the Veil. But the light of the gospel is even stronger.
Patty Metzer's writing is absolutely breathtaking. This book deserves more attention than it has gotten. Erica Tanner and Prince Sajah Ajari just seem so real. It is a powerful tale of how love can conquer hate. Of how the truth of Christ overcomes the lies of man. And the love that grows between Erica and Sajah is beautifully sweet and real.
I give Lights of the Veil five out of five stars.
Note: The author, Patty Metzer is now deceased. She wrote only two books during her lifetime. Lights of the Veil and Keeper of the Light.
